Keys to enjoying being you (i)

Let me start by saying that there is no one else in the world like you; you are unique. Secondly, you can never be anybody else, no matter how hard you wish it.
On that note, the earlier you accept who you are, the better for you and the entire world because there are roles you fill that no one else can. If you are still at that stage where you think you suck then here are keys on how to accept yourself.

1. Understand that no one is perfect
The grass is always greener on the other side but wait till you get there. There are people you assume have it better or are flawless but the truth is that everyone struggles with something at one point or the other.

2. You are not alone
You assume that others, especially those you think are perfect, don't go through bouts of self-doubt? The truth is that we all do. If you are feeling low, don't beat yourself hard about it. Just don't dwell on it. Turn your thoughts to positive things; think of what you have going for you.

3. People will always have opinions 
Well, you can't stop tongues from wagging but you can definitely stop caring. When you stop giving a hoot what people say about you, you give yourself less to worry about. Become deaf to the world.

4. Be proactive 
Okay, so there are aspects of yourself you don't like! What are you doing about it? You can't keep whining about stuff without trying to be a better version of yourself.

5. Find out what works best for you 
You don't have to go with trends. If everyone else is doing stuff a particular way and you don't feel comfortable with that, do it your way.

6. Don't try to please people
This follows the point above. When you discard the need to please people, you will be happier and begin to discover yourself.
