How to make your lips soft before applying lipstick

Lip makeup completes your overall makeup look, it also gives your lips a beautiful definition depending on the shade of lipstick you go for. However, with winter’s dry air down upon us, it wouldn’t be surprising if you end up with dry chapped lips after applying your go-to lip make-up. This is due to the fact that your lips aren’t moisturized, so slathering on lipstick only worsens the situation of your lips.
To get rid of this embarrassing situation, you’ll need helpful home remedies effective in moisturizing your lips right before you roll on lipstick.
Here’s a DIY step-by-step tutorial on how to make your lips soft.
A bowl of warm water
An old toothbrush
Body lotion
Lip balm
Cotton ball
Regular foundation
Lip liner, lipstick, and gloss.
Immerse your old toothbrush in warm water until it is soft, then scrub your lips with it gently in circular motions to remove dry skin flakes. Note, ensure the toothbrush is really soft before use so you don’t bruise your lips further.
Massage your lips with the body lotion for 5-10 minutes.
Now, wipe out the corners of your lips with a cotton ball to get rid of residual cream.
Apply your lip balm all over your lips and massage gently to soothe your lips and keep them more moisturized and softer.
Apply a sensible layer of concealer and blend well.
Next, you apply a little amount of foundation on your lips with a soft brush and also blend in.
Now you can go ahead and apply your regular lip liner and a moisturizing lipstick.
