How to care for your hair under the weave 1

For many of us, weaves are a lifesaver; stylish lifesaver. They offer a versatile and easy way to maintain your hair, protect it, and keep you looking amazeball.
For your actual hair under the weave, out of sight doesn't mean out of mind. You have to make sure that when you remove the weave, your hair will still look lush and radiant, with new growth!
Even with the weaves, there are still basic hair care routines you have to observe;
1. Shampoo and conditioning
Yes, you read that right. You don’t want your hair to get smelly. To get the best result, work the shampoo through your scalp, using the balls of your fingertips, then down your weave hair. It is important not to ball your weave atop your hair, to prevent it from getting matted or tangled.
2. Apply oils to your scalp
Even though the hair and scalp are covered, they still need to be cared for and nourished. With the help of an applicator bottle, you can apply oils directly on your scalp and massage it in, to aid your hair growth beneath the weave. If your weave is human hair, you can apply some oil on it as well or added sheen, but, if it is synthetic, there is no need for any additional products. It is best you use lightweight oils that will not cause a build up in time, like jojoba oil, coconut oil, almond oil, and grapeseed oil.
